as default, mozilla's #firefox is our preferred web browser, as it ain't freakin' Google (yet!)

NB. #seamonkey is also a great all-in-one web tool and #librewolf is now available as an AppImage.

For ease of use, we registered our email for Mozilla's #sync function, to better store bookmarks and easily access web pages etc.

- Utilising Mozilla's #matrix homeserver enables us to maintain secure and encrypted communications.

The benefits of using federated protocols hosted (at least for now) by recognised and trusted third-party providers, for us at least, far outweighs any of the perceived negativity or potential 'online risks' associated with not self-hosting our own services in-house.
